Modulating blood–brain barrier LRP receptors using multivalent drugs

In January 2026 I presented a poster at ICONAN in Rome, on blood–brain barrier transport mechanisms and multivalent strategies for targeting them.
The work looks at the low-density lipoprotein receptors LRP1 and LRP8, which sort their cargo by avidity, and at whether multivalent nanomedicines can tune them to promote amyloid-β clearance in Alzheimer's disease.
